Olga Kurkulina grew up in a multi ethnic country. When she was ten years old she got involved in athletics and competed in many of the countries of the former USSR. At 17 Olga was selected to the USSR national track and field team and began to participate in national competitions. When the USSR began to crumble her family moved to Israel where she maintained her training. She was accepted to the Israeli National Team and competed at the European Cup in high jump. In 2005 she set a Israeli national record in the high jump. “ It didn’t feel like I truly represented Israel because when I represented the Israeli National Team it consisted of mainly USSR coaches and athletes who moved to Israel like I did” said Olga.

After her track and field career Olga kept working out in the gym. “There I met a colleague, who was competing in the Bodybuilding for a while. She persuaded me to try to prepare for the championship of Israel BB. In 2007 it was my first competition and since then I have continued to build and improve my body and tried always to maintain a good shape” said Olga

Several years ago she was asked to play Mother Russia in the film Kick Ass 2 .”To play in a movie such as Kick-Ass 2, especially with big Hollywood stars was interesting, sometimes really tough. It was, breath taking. I had many memories that I will remember for a long time and look back with a smile on my face.

Olga’s life is very much complete she is a wife, a mother, according to her it’s not an easy task. “What I want to do is to always stay myself and be a good wife, mother and a woman. At this moment, I am happy; I have a loving husband, and the most fabulous kids. I love them very much and I help and support them when they need me. And of course I want to keep doing what I love. ”When asked what motivates her Olga said “to be better than my yesterday self. It is all about inner motivation, which means to learn something new, or what can be done to improve. When I finally see results, it is the biggest reward I can get. If I get an invitation to do a film again would be happy to do so.” Recently Olga finished competing in a body building show in Europe according to her the preparation was very long and difficult and at this point she is resting but however is still coaching her clients.
